Maintenance Worker

Performs routine inspections and maintenance on equipment (e.g., cleans, checks oil, air filter, coolant level, fuels, greases, and replaces blades on lawn tractors). Completes documentation to ensure hourly, daily, or weekly checks are completed on equipment. Maintains structures to include painting, repairing or replacing items such as door locks and doors handles. Makes modifications to existing facilities. Constructs, alters, and repairs structures, panels, partitions, hand doors, and performs repairs to office furniture and window panes, including blinds. Repairs tile and carpeting. Installs signs and other interpretive data at recreational facilities throughout the project. Installs, modifies, and repairs utility, supply and disposal systems, fixtures, fittings, and equipment such as sewer, water, toilets, urinals, water heaters, sinks, and drinking fountains. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
